SANTIAGO AGUIRRE
Chairman. Founding Partner
Degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Instituto de Empresa. Santiago Aguirre has been the Ministry of Tourism delegate in Minorca and a member of the Technical Bureau of the Department of Tourism. Furthermore, he was head of Investments and Developments with Richard Ellis. Together with Stephen Newman he founded Aguirre Newman in 1988.
STEPHEN NEWMAN
Chairman. Founding Partner
Holds a Degree in Urban Estate Management from the Polytechnic of Central London, and is a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an internationally renowned British institution specialising in real estate. Professionally linked with Edgard Erdman, a British company specialising in shopping centres and Prima Inmobiliaria as director of Projects and Studies. Together with Santiago Aguirre he founded Aguirre Newman in 1988.
JAVIER ECHEVERRÍA
Chief Executive
Degree in Law and Business Studies and Economics, majoring in Finance, from ICADE. He started his professional career in Arthur Andersen and joined Aguirre Newman in 1998 as financial director of the group. He has held various managerial positions in the company and has succeeded in becoming one of the key figures in Aguirre Newman’s growth process during this time.
JAIME PASCUAL
Executive General Manager
He holds a Degree in Business Studies and Economics, and has a Master’s in International Business from Florida International University, where he was number one in his class. He has taken the Real Estate Company Management programme at the Instituto de Empresa, where he currently teaches. After joining Aguirre Newman he held various management posts until he was appointed Executive General Director.
ÁNGEL SERRANO
General Director of Business
Degree in Architecture from the Madrid School of Architecture, MBA from ICADE and a Master’s in Business, Construction and Real Estate Management. Founder, together with Santiago Aguirre and Stephen Newman, of Aguirre Newman Architecture, and chief executive of Idéntico.
FRANCIS PONS
President, Aguirre Newman America
Began his real estate career in Johnson Evans & Co. and Anstey Horne & Co. in London. In 1973 he moved to Spain where he opened the first Richard Ellis office in Madrid. He was responsible for the expansion of the company in Spain, and was President up until 1998. He also headed up their expansion in to Portugal and, in the 90’s, he combined his responsibilities as Vice-President of Richard Ellis International with the opening of new offices in Latin America. Francis was President of CBRE Latin America & the Caribbean for 11 years. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
