- 1988
- Aguirre Newman is founded
- Santiago Aguirre and Stephen Newman set up Aguirre Newman. The company’s arrival on the scene represented the entry of a domestic competitor in a sector dominated by multinationals.
- 1990
- Opening of the Barcelona office.
- 1994
- Publication of the first office market study.
- Aguirre Newman Architecture is launched.
- 1996
- Aguirre Newman’s turnover exceeds one billion pesetas and there are 50 employees on the payroll.
- 1998
- 10th Anniversary
- In two short years turnover trebles and the workforce is doubled. The company continues to create new lines of business (Land, Town Planning, Residential, Shopping Complexes) and succeeds in providing the most comprehensive service throughout the whole real estate cycle.
- 2001
- Opening of the Malaga office
- 2002
- Opening of the Lisbon office, the 1st outside Spain
- Headquarters moved to General Lacy 23.
- 2005
- Implementation of a new internal organisation model, oriented even more towards the client as the centre of activity, and the optimisation of internal processes.
- 2006
- Definition of the company’s Strategic Plan for the period 2006-2010 based on Diversification, Professional Development, Client Focus and Innovation.

- 20th Anniversary

- Launch of operations in America via the Miami Office
